If you wish to volunteer inside the main venues of the Melbourne Convention and Entertainment Centre and Inside Rod Laver Arena you will be required to be a registered delegate for the Convention. You may volunteer for outside MCEC and at Rod Laver Arena and at other volunteer sites without being registered for the Convention. THE REGISTRATION PROCESS
There are two parts to the registration process. The first covers your personal details and mandatory checks while the second part covers your qualifications and skills which you are willing to offer and utilise during the Convention. All data collected is stored securely and is not shared with third parties.

Convention Delegate Registration
In order to volunteer at the two Rotary International venues being inside at the Rod Laver Arena and the Melbourne Convention and Entertainment Centre, you will need to be registered as a delegate to the Convention.

It is likely that you will need some degree of fitness as shifts could entail standing in order to greet people and / or direct them to their destinations.

This is the second part of the registration process. If you list qualifications and / or skills here it is an indication that you are willing to utilise them during the Convention.
Medical Skills and Qualifications
The Convention will have emergency procedures in place. However in the unlikely event of an emergency it could be that additional qualified people are needed. If you provide information about your qualifications you are indicating that you are willing to be called on if there is an emergency.
First Aid Qualification

Languages
The Convention will need people who speak a range of languages to assist our international visitors. We will need assistance with translation at the Information Booth at the HOC office in the House of Friendship.
